Our philosophy

Every educator matters.

Schools pour enormous energy into the experience they design for students. We exist because the people who create that experience, their educators, deserve the same intentional care.

Why we exist

Schools design experiences for students. We help them design experiences for educators.

Every district maps the student journey with care, the climate, the supports, the path from one grade to the next. But students learn from people. And the experience of those people, how supported, developed, and valued they feel, shapes everything a student feels in turn.

For years, the corporate world has had a name for this discipline: employee experience. Schools have largely been left out of it. The tools that help companies engage, develop, and keep their people were never built for the realities of a campus or a district.

So we built one that is. EX in Education brings the rigor of employee experience to the people who shape every classroom, and connects it to the outcome schools care about most.

Better educator experiences. Better student outcomes.

What we believe

The principles behind the platform.

Every educator matters.

Not just the strongest, and not just the ones at risk of leaving. Everyone. The educators who aren't thriving yet are exactly the ones a good system helps grow.

Experience is the strategy.

Engagement, growth, and retention aren't perks or soft extras. They are how strong schools are actually built, and kept.

Templates, yours to change.

Every district runs its processes differently. Start from a proven workflow if you want a head start, then shape it to how your district actually works.

Evidence over gloss.

Administrators distrust hype, and so do we. We build what the research supports, and we tell you the caveats instead of hiding them.

From the founder

I've spent my whole career on this problem.

I spent ten years as an educator. I know what it feels like to be invested in, and what it feels like to be overlooked.

In 2012 I founded iAspire to help schools support and develop their people. We built it for seven years, and in 2019 it was acquired. In the years since, I've spent my time inside the company that acquired us doing one thing in particular: crafting employee experiences, learning firsthand what makes people stay, grow, and do their best work.

Along the way I started the Employee Experience in Education podcast, because I kept seeing the same gap: the ideas reshaping the modern workplace, employee experience, engagement, retention, were barely reaching the schools that need them most.

EX in Education is what all of it has been building toward. A platform that treats the educator experience with the same intentionality schools already give the student experience. Because I believe every educator matters, and every student deserves educators who thrive.

The name

Why we're called EX in Education.

EX is short for the experience that defines a workplace, in our world, the Educator eXperience. It's the discipline corporate teams have invested in for years. We built it for schools.

Every student deserves educators who thrive.

Help every educator thrive, with one platform for the entire educator experience.
